I'm watching a show about a 17-year-old exchange student who was shot. He entered a garage looking to steal beer. The homeowner shot and killed him. They interviewed his best friend who said the murdered boy was not a criminal he was just looking for a beer. Last I checked entering someone else's garage without permission is a crime taking somebody's beer is a crime and drinking beer when you're 17 is also a crime. The kid was definitely a criminal.

I can't stand how Al Sharpton shouts instead of talking with his indoor
voice. Donald Trump does it too, basically as bad. Hillary shouts at appropriate times. Bernie shouted constantly but luckily he's vanished from T.V.

Last week on Tuesday my housemate moved out without notice. I got a text from him saying basically "I've moved all my stuff out. You can rerent the room now". Needles to say, I wasn't very happy about that. I'm in very bad health and I need the money. It's pretty hard for me to try renting a room in my current condition. I told my other tenant about it and he said "don't worry, I'll find someone". And sure enough he did. On Wednesday his sister paid rent and moved in. The best part is, she's a registered nurse and has been helping me non-stop. She got my doctors appointments set up, she's looking after my wounds, took me to the doctor the next day, cooking meals, and cleaning house. It's like having a live-in care giver that is paying me. I feel like I should be paying her. Having that guy move out happened at just the right time.

In just about exactly 12 hours it will be the two year anniversary of my grandmother passing. Today has been pretty hard on me and tomorrow will be much worse. Of anyone in my family I was closest to my grandmother. I could share things with her and talk about parts of my life that I couldn't talk to other people, even my parents.

As many of you know, I am an avid Amazon shopper. I've spent close to $15,000—on everything from toilet paper to instant noodles to tablets—from Amazon so far this year. But I purposely avoid prime day because I know I'll end up buying stuff I can't afford and don't need. I did end up buying one thing using Alexa – an Xbox One wireless controller for $31.31. I think that's a pretty good price, plus I like to use Alexa to order something every once-in-a-while.

This Obamacare is probably the best insurance I've ever had. They pay for everything with no co-pay. All my prescriptions are completely free, hand delivered to me. That's great—one of my prescriptions is $200 a month.

The home nursing people just called me to let me know my insurance approved home nursing. A nurse will come to my house three times a week to take care of my wounds. Physical, and occupational therapy will also be coming to my house. And thanks to Obamacare I don't have to pay even one cent. I know a lot of people have problems with Obamacare but for me it's been a godsend.

My new clear glass keyboard on top of my Apple keyboard. The keys are slightly larger but still more difficult to press accurately. I think having no right shift is a mistake. Although it looks all futuristic and cool in a Star Trek sort of way, I do believe keyboards with physical keys will be with us far into the future.

Our voting system is broken. The majority of Republican did not want Trump. He didn't get 51% or more. The majority voted for someone other than Trump. By having so many people running they made it easier for Trump to win.

There are two ways to fix this. We can either have preference voting where voters rank the candidates. Think of it this way: You vote for Joe, then joe drops out. Your vote is wasted. But in preference you would have a back-up. You chose Mike as your back-up candidate. Your vote then goes to Mike. You rank all candidates like this.

The other fix is run-off election. If no candidate has reached 51% then no one has reached majority. You hold a second election with the two candidates who got the most votes. With only two choices—no write-ins allowed—someone will get at least 51%. To make it easier you could have the delegates vote in the run off election.<... mehr »

The Republicans got Trump because they let so many people run as a primary candidates. If there had been fewer candidates, say five, I'm pretty certain Trump would not have won. But our voting system is broken.___

A few weeks ago my credit card was stolen. The bank was proactive about it and called me to verify some dodgy transaction which they declined. That card was invalidated and a new card was issued (that's why I now have a pride card). When I got it, I updated my accounts with businesses that had auto-pay. Somehow I forgot to update Project Fi.I don't know what made me think of it, but for some reason I remembered this morning.

When I got to the Project Fi page I learned that I had been without service for 15 days. I use a different—Google Voice—number for all my voice calls and texting. I'm able to text any number and I'm able to call land lines and people who don't use Google at all.

What am I paying for with Project Fi? Am I paying for access to a 4G cellular network when I'm not on WiFi? I'm obviously not away from WiFi very often. I'm not suretha... mehr »

What am I paying for with Project Fi? Am I paying for access to a 4G cellular network when I'm not on WiFi? I'm obviously not away from WiFi very often. I'm not sure that I need that service for $20 a month.

I'm going to put my Project Fi sim in a different phone and use my daily driver simless for a while. If I go an entire month with out needing to turn on the other phone I may cancel my Project Fi account.

Sorry for the long post about such a mundane thing.

tl;dr If you always have access to WiFi, why pay for Project Fi?___

The Amazon Dash button is deceptively ingenious. All it does is order one of the product shown–in this case Arm & Hammer cat litter. When I use the last of a box of litter I press the button. I have run out of litter before because I forgot to order it. Thanks to the Dash button I never forget to order. Usually the button is stuck to the litter box, but I took it off for the photo.

Everyone comes to you: Your kid misbehaving at school? The teacher knows where you live/work and has it memorized, happens to be in your neighborhood, decides to stop at your house and sure enough you're home and ready to talk about it... because don't have regular 9-5 jobs.

I think it's weird that when there is a wedding in a TV show almost always they use the co-workers as the wedding party, the best man and bridesmaids. I guess it's too expensive to hire extra to fill in as family.

Donald Trump turned 70 today. I heard a few people and media outlets say Bernie Sanders was too old because he's 74. Is there really that much difference between 70 and 74? After all, if Trump won and ran for re-election he too would be 74. There may be some issues with Bernie Sanders but age certainly isn't one of them.

I'm both saddened and relieved that Bernie won't be our next president.

I'm watching a show "Caught on Camera". In this particular clip a disgruntled customer goes to a tow yard office and opens fire. Thankfully, no one is killed. They interview one of the women who was there and she says, after watching the security camera footage, "one thing is clear. God is amazing. God was in control that day and kept anyone from getting killed. God is a great protector."

So what's the deal? God had nothing to do with the guy shooting? God is only responsible if there is a "good" outcome? What about the person who was shot and survived... why didn't god stop that?

I think she should have said "God is awful. God was in control that day and sent a maniac in who shot Linda in the arm. God is a horrible protector!"

Here's something about voting that doesn't make sense to me. I vote by mail, and voted a few weeks ago. If I wanted to vote in person, my polling place is about two miles away. Not a big deal. However, there is a polling place two blocks away from me. Why am I not allowed to vote at the polling place closest to my house? Why send me, and presumably everyone else in my neighborhood two miles away instead of two blocks away? In fact, other than marking me off a list, why am I not allowed to vote at any polling place in the state? Computerize this shit. Look up my name at any polling place and mark me off when I show up anywhere in the state. But I vote by mail so I guess it doesn't matter.

I'm worried that with Charter buying +Time Warner Cable that my speeds will change and not for the better. I like having 350mbit internet service. It's faster than advertised which you never see. My service is advertised as 300/20 but I consistently get 350/23, about 15% faster. In fact just my overage, 50/3mbit, is faster than a lot of people's internet and an order of magnitude faster than our government's definition of broadband. I really hope TWC doesn't change.

And thanks to native IPv6, just about all of my connected devices get their own publicly routable IPv6 address. I have a couple devices that don't support IPv6, such as my Hue bridge, but most everything else does.

I had a strange dream last night. I went to a casino with about $3000 in cash. I bet a little on a slot machine, and didn't win. Then I decided to play roulette, betting $100 each on half the numbers. But the guy running the table put down $25 chips for me and didn't make me pay up front. They gave me some mixed cocktail that was blue, and a sandwich that was fish and tarter sauce, tempura battered and deep fried. It couldn't have been worse since I neither drink alcohol nor eat fish. Anyway, now time to spin, it came up 5 and I lost. They sent me on a weird path to the cage to pay. When I got to the cage, they rang it up as $50 a spot. I argued and said I wanted to bet $100 a spot, but he put down $25 chips so I'll only pay $25 a spot. Then I woke up.

I sometimes (often, OK, always) forget where to shoot up but for obvious reasons I can't write a reminder on my arm for everyone to see, so I write it in UV ink. Problem solved!

The police are now investigating the parents of the toddler that ended up in the gorilla pen at the zoo. Seriously? You know if it weren't for the internet the police wouldn't be doing this to those parents. But you know there are some assholes on the internet calling the police department demanding something be done. Because some people just can't let an accident be an accident. It must be someone's fault! Let's destroy a family we know nothing about because internet! I'm sure it was terrorizing and traumatizing enough for the parents without having the police investigating you.

Trump, at his whine, bitch, and moan, fest this morning insisted he didn't want credit for donating money to veteran organizations while complaining that he wasn't thanked. The whole event was pretty nasty. Trump just isn't a good person. He comes off as a raging asshole... probably because he is a raging asshole.

I just finished watching The French Connection. It's certainly not what I'm used to in a movie. It was slow, plot heavy and had minimal dialog with no music that I can recall. Still decent enough, especially considering its age.

Next up: Marathon Man

I got this really important email today. I thought it best to share with everyone in case you're having problem getting your compensation, too. Call Barrister Stephen Nelson. He works for the Compensation Award House, which is part of the FBI. Mrs. Marina Luda, who is a US citizen, put me in contact with him. Oh, and please take note, it will cost $355 for the paperwork. Anyway, here is the email I received in full:

I got this really important email today. I thought it best to share with everyone in case you're having problem getting your compensation, too. Call Barrister Stephen Nelson. in Florida USA.My residential address is as follows, 7008 E Hwy 326
Silver Springs FLorida 34488 United States,am thinking of relocating
since I am now rich. I am one of those that took part in the
compensation in Nigeria many years ago and they refused to pay me, I
had paid over $85,000 while in the US, trying to get my payment all to
no avail.

So I decided to travel to Washington with all my compensation
documents, And I was directed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation
Director to contact Barrister Stephen Nelson, who is a representative of
the Federal Bureau of Investigation and a member of the Compensation
Award Committee, currently in Nigeria and I contacted him and he
explained everything to me. He said whoever is contacting us through
emails are fake.

He took me to the paying bank for the claim of my compensation
payment. Right now I am the most happiest woman on earth because I
have received my compensation funds of $10.5 Million US
Dollars,Moreover,Barrister Stephen Nelson showed me the full information of
those that are yet to receive their payments and I saw your email as
one of the beneficiaries on the list he showed me, that is why I
decided to email you to stop dealing with those people, they are not
with your fund, they are only making money out of you. I will advise
you to contact Barrister Stephen Nelson. Kinldy send your personal details
to him to prove your identification.

Full Name:
Home Address:
Occupation:
Phone Number:
Age:
Gender:
country:

You have to contact him directly on this information below.

Compensation Award House
Name :Barrister Stephen Nelson
Email: stnelson0@gmail.com

You really have to stop dealing with those people that are contacting
you and telling you that your fund is with them, it is not in anyway
with them, they are only taking advantage of you and they will dry you
up until you have nothing. The only money I paid after I met Barrister
Stephen Nelson was just $355 USD for the paper works, take note of that.

Once again stop contacting those people, I will advise you to contact
Barrister Stephen Nelson so that he can help you to deliver your fund
instead of dealing with those liars that will be turning you around
asking for different kind of money to complete your transaction.

Thank you and be Blessed.
