I'm watching a show about counterfeiting. The guy decides to print 20s instead of 100s because "100s get scrutinized to easy. 20s I know that people just accept them, will take them and throw them in their cash register drawer."

This is the exact reason you don't counterfeit 20s. People are very familiar with them and if they're even slightly off people can tell. 100s are used less frequently in retail transactions and so people aren't nearly as in tune to what a 100 looks and feels like.

I would counterfeit 10s. They're the least circulated bill so people aren't as likely to detect flaws. Plus no one is scrutinizing 10s. No one expects those to be counterfeited so those are going to pass much more easily.

Thanksgiving is upon us. Once again, I'll be alone. And if it weren't for my Mormon friends bringing me food, I'd only have top ramen to eat.

If anyone is Thankful for having extra money this Thanksgiving perhaps you could Give me some, and I'll be very Thankful. You can donate here so I can get food other than top ramen.

In elementary school I was taught Roy G Biv to remember the colors of the rainbow. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. Although I (like everyone else on Earth) can simply picture a rainbow and name the colors so I never found this mnemonic particularly useful. However, one thing always bothered me about it -- indigo. I don't see seven colors, I see six. I don't see two blues. I goes green, blue, purple (sorry, violet). So what gives? Where did indigo come from? I know what you're thinking "it's so it can be pronounced, duh!" That turns out not to be the reason at all. The guy who invented Roy G Biv had a thing about the number seven (don't tell George Costanza) and so his mnemonic had to have seven words. Six would not do.

And now the three question quiz:
1) Have you ever used Roy G Biv for anything at all?
2) Whom don't we tell?

I had to get rid of my cat, Skeeter. He was just too much for me to handle. He was taken to a vet who says he has gangrene! Now I think I know how I kept getting re-infected. I'd go to the hospital, they'd kill it off and send me home where I promptly caught gangrene again, back to the hospitals. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. Maybe with him gone I'll finally start to get better.

This pain is too much for me. Not just the physical pain but the emotional pain. Knowing I'll always be alone. Being less than 100% of a person. It's overwhelming. There is nothing left for me, and I want out.

A duck walks into a drug store and says "I'd like some lip gloss." The clerk says "Certainly, sir. Will that be cash or charge?" The duck responds "Put it on my bill."

I have decided to officially join the Mormon church. I don't believe in god but I do believe someone fitting the general story of Jesus existed and I believe the Mormon teachings are much more in line with what Jesus taught.

A nurse called me and left a message. I use Google Voice which transcribes voicemail to text. The message begun "Hi Mister Rhodes" which Google transcribed as "Hi this is Rose". When i called her back I asked for Rose. There is no Rose. When I realized what happened I called again to explain but it went to voicemail. I left a message explaining. I sent a text. never got a reply to either. It seems like she blocked my number. I find it very unprofessional, and a gross overreaction to asking for the wrong name.

This is called "sluff". It's dead skin that falls off in this bloody goop. Having this come off is a very good thing™. It allows the underlying live tissue grow and heal. It's a lucky thing I'm not scared of blood. In fact, when I get a blood draw I have to watch

I have lost a significant and, likely, unhealthy amount of weight since my last surgery. And I don't mean the removal f my arm which was two surgeries ago.

My ideal weigh—the weigh I personally feel I look and feel best at—is 155lbs. For at least the past year I've been holding steady at 171lbs, and I've been happy with that. It's much better than the 220lbs I weighed at my heaviest, which was just two years ago.

I noticed that I'm looking boney and frail, so I weighed myself. I'm down to a scary 130lbs.

This doesn't look legit to me. Every state is unique, except SD&MD, and WV&IN. Also, what makes Brussel sprouts, stuffed mushrooms, tomato soup, sangria, and flan Thanksgiving foods? Finally, people in Arizona need help making mashed potatoes? Not legit. I bet the article that accompanied this graphic links each of these to a recipe/cooking site.

Surprisingly he said he loved them and how amazing it is that space is so big and old, and that as the universe expands we'll be able to see less and less of universe.

I'be been discharged from the hospital. We'll see how long this lasts. I have untreated wounds that I pointed out but nothing was done. I'm worried they'll expand and if they do, I'll be back in the hospital. It's the dark area at the top right that concerns me, and two small holes on the back side. If any of that expands, back to the hospital.

I'm still in the hospital. I'll be here a few more days. Besides this recurring infection, I'm not making blood. They had to give me three units. Last time two, time before that also two. That's nearly a whole body of blood. What's left of my arm now has a giant hole in it where they dug out infected tissue. I really hate this. It's very depressing and scary.

I'm going to the emergency room now. My infection has returned with a vengeance.

I received this from a friend today.

My father texted my sisters and I early yesterday morning the day of the election, that the train he was on to work went off the tracks. He assured us that no one was hurt. They followed emergency procedure as strangers helped one another descend a narrow ladder through the dark tunnel as they followed each other towards the exit signs and into the daylight.

After last night’s election I thought how apropos that image of the train was. That in this time of unprecedented darkness we seem to have gone off the rails and lost hope, only to be searching for the light.

I have dual citizenship and while I couldn’t vote (since I wasn’t ever a resident) I felt deeply connected to this election as many of us did. Two of my sisters still live in the states, along with many of our friends and family and I could feel our fate interwoven withtheir... mehr »

My father texted my sisters and I early yesterday morning the day of the election, that the train he was on to work went off the tracks. He assured us that no one was hurt.

Two of my sisters still live in the states, along with many of our friends and family and I could feel our fate interwoven with theirs.

When I heard the results, like everyone else my first reaction was shock. I was numb the way news of a loved one’s death hits you and there’s no room to breathe. I couldn’t take it all in and I still can’t process that this is America’s new reality and what it will mean for the freedoms we have always held dear. The United States of America has never in my lifetime felt so divided. Last night as my friend shared, “I feel like I have just let go of my American pride. It is very sad not to be proud of your birth country.”

Tonight also happens to be the anniversary of Kristallnacht, a time in Jewish history known as The Night of the Broken Glass. On this night, November 9, 1938, almost 200 synagogues were destroyed, over 8,000 Jewish shops were sacked and looted, and tens of thousands of Jews were removed to concentration camps. As the poet Leonard Cohen says, “There is a crack, a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.” Today in this season when we experience shorter days and more darkness it is also a time of cracked hope. I wonder if we need to sit a little in the darkness to remember and reimagine the light.

This morning as the shock has lifted and it’s all starting to sink in. We are all grieving the loss of the future that could have been. I spent this morning sitting with these feelings, acknowledging the disappointment, the sadness and the fear of what this means for our future and the future of our children. As I allowed the emotions to move through me, I noticed I was able to breathe again and this flicker of light and hope revealed itself to calm me.

What I have heard others say is that this is not the time to mourn, but to organize. And I want to propose that it’s not “either or” but “both and”. We need time to mourn and grieve and then we need to move forward and carry the light that comes through the cracks. In Jewish tradition when a close family member dies, we perform Keriah, a ritual of tearing a piece of clothing usually a scarf or a tie that is worn over our hearts to represents our own torn hearts and we wear it for the seven days of mourning. In this way, you can tell who the mourners are. I was thinking how in this time we need to find all the other torn hearts out there and connect.

We need to take this time away from social media to mourn and not spiritually bypass this important threshold of loss. We may mourn what could have been, the loss that is real in our hearts, and the disappointment that comes with it. I invite you to connect with friends and family and strangers over our collective loss. And I also want to suggest that we don’t stay in fear. Fear breeds more fear. Markets crash because people panic when they don’t know if they have safe footing.

So instead of firing the fans of fear, find ways to connect and organize instead. Use this as a time to let love and unity strengthen our web of connection.___

Apparently Trump did't get the most votes, but thanks to our out dated electoral college, he won anyway. This has happened twice in my life, the other being Bush v Gore. This is a good sign our system is broken when the loser can still win. Maybe this will get Republicans on board with fixing this.

I need your donations now more than ever. If you haven't been following whats going on, I caught gangrene in the spring and I've been battling it ever since. The last thing to happen is my arm was amputated. Obamacare was taking good care of me until about a month ago, and once Trump is sworn in I suspect I'll have no Obamacare at all. I need donations to pay for basics, like electricity, and food, and medications. Please donate anything you can even if it's just $5. If you can't donate, please reshare this post.

I still desperately need your donations.

I caught gangrene, which led to the amputation of my left arm. It started out very inconspicuously enough. Nothing I felt I needed to see a doctor about -- I had arm and shoulder pain. I cut myself and that's when things started going down hill. Instead of closing and heeling, the cut got wider, deeper, and darker. My arm and hand became very swollen and that wound had turned a large area of skin on my arm black, hard, and numb. If I can get some more donations today then I'll continue the story of what happened. Please donate here (and if you can't donate, reshare this post)

Thank you! Also - go vote for #hillary  , she'll keep the obamacare I need

I have at least one more. My first visit to the ER was July. I had four surgeries. First a carpal tunnel release; Second a degloving; Third a partial amputation of my left hand; Fourth a larger amputation of my left arm. I have a photo of the wound without bandages. If you would like to see that photo please leave a comment Now I will describe these surgeries. You may not want to read about them, so I'm leaving some space. Click read more to read about the surgeries.

A carpal tunnel release is a short vertical incision at the wrist. It is meant to relieve pressure on the nerves that go to your hand.

A degloving removes most or all of the skin on your arm.

The first amputation removed my thumb, index finger, middle finger, and the part of the hand that was below those fingers.

The second amputation removed most of my lower forearm.
