Friend-zone is not just about saying “not interested”. Is is thinking: “I am not interested to share bed with him but if my computer, car, whatever breaks down he might come in handy”.

Gee, here I thought friends just, like, did friendly things for one another just because they're friends. I had no idea friends were not allowed to help each other out unless the female friend paid for the friendship with sex.

Anyone in the DFW area or within reasonable driving distance, a friend of mine needs someone to take her two cats for a few months. Can anyone help out? Or know anyone who could help? Please please please??? If she can't find a temporary home for them, she'll have to give them up to a shelter and if you have pets you know that's not an acceptable option.

I'm pulling all the different drafts of this one novel, that's been written through two NaNos and at least one Camp... I keep everything in Google Drive, but I have three accounts, so A) finding all the docs and B) keeping all important versions without saving three copies of the same thing is, um, proving cumbersome.

This is my first foray into Scrivener (other than the one April I used it to write a screenplay), and so far I'm loving it. I'm actually looking forward to the editing/rewriting/revising process, because Scrivener is making it look [relatively] easy.

What are you working on? What's your process?What programs, if any, do you use?

Any #Texas high school social studies teachers out there? I just signed up to take the #TExES Social Studies 8-12 to add to my certifications. I'm taking it June 6. Anyone have any crash-course/cramming website suggestions?

(Other than +John Green 's Crash Course history videos, which I totally hadn't thought about until I typed "crash-course.")

What kinds of questions can I expect? Do I need to memorize facts, like the US Presidents in order? Has anyone taken this test recently?

Silly me! I made the mistake of trying to buy a sledgehammer at Lowe's while female.

Clerk and the customer he was talking to pointed me to the itty-bitty rubber mallets I'd just been looking at.

"No, I need something big I can swing. I'm demolishing a shed."

"Something YOU can swing?" Picks up itty-bitty hammer. "You can do a lot of damage with this."

"No, that's not what I need."

"Well, those sledgehammers are heavy. They can be up to FIVE POUNDS."

ZOMG 5 WHOLE POUNDS?? You mean less than a fifth of the weight of the toddler I wrestle daily? However will dainty little girly me manage A WHOLE FIVE POUNDS?

Luckily another employee intercepted and showed me where they were. Handed me an 8lb one.
